Like the long caravans that criss-crossed the desert for centuries, “Azalai” is an imaginary trans-Saharan musical journey, at the frontiers of the Arab and African worlds. “Azalai” brings together musicians from North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa for a work that blends tradition, invention and electronics.
