Gilles Mardirossian (composition, recordings “phonographies” and treatments sound). With Anouche Dodabedian (kamantcha), Virginia Pattie-Kerovpyan (song), Vahan Kerovpyan (zarb and Armenian percussions) of the Ensemble Kotchnak, Veronique Chanteau (images, video), (adaptation by microphones, sound mixing), Benjamin Maumus, Laurent Sassi (setting in space and mixing), Nicolas Carrière (programming real time)
“Après le Silence” (“After the Silence”) takes us on a musical journey that explores the lives of the composer’s ancestors, up to his own experiences with the realities and tremors of today’s world. Like the Asugs (troubadours) who traveled from village to village playing their instruments, Mardirossian traces three thousand years of Armenian culture.
