Keyvan Chemirani, a musical ferryman between different cultures, has produced the unrecognised riches of Moorish “learned” dance and music in a fertile confrontation between his own Iranian tradition and those of flamenco and Cante Rondo dances whose Arabo-Andalusian roots have radiated across all the shores of the Mediterranean.<br>Tahawol, this real contemporary creation which brings together 12 exceptional artistes, takes a new look at oral traditions aiming at cross breeding at its most creative : working together while respecting, valorising and enriching the identity of each culture. One of the highlights of the festival !
