Musée Dauphinois - Grenoble
FRANCE / MONGOLIA

Bayarbaatar (song diphonic and vièle), Bernard Fort (musical composition and device electroacoustic)

Bayarbaatar stems from a nomad family from Western Mongolia, the region called Gobi Altaï. He is considered to be among the best singers of Khöömii, the famous diphonic throat singing.
His musical inspiration comes from listening to nature and her familiar sounds, as does that of Bernard Fort, an electrical-acoustical composer from Lyon. “Les chants de l’Altaï” brings both artistes on stage so as to create a “mixed” work blending live singing and soundscapes taped in Mongolia treated in real time.
