Nahawa Doumbia - Mali (song), Ballaké Cissoko (will kora) & Keyvan Chemirani - Iran (percussions)
Nahawa Doumbia is one of the great voices from Wassoulou, Southern Mali. Her timbre, warm and grainy, denotes roots in oral traditions, with ever-underlying spoken-singing. Her art addresses every one of us. Ballaké Cissoko’s accompaniment is the first of a series of transgressions, traditionally the kora is not used for this type of song.
