IIIZ+ (three z plus), this Chinese-American ensemble uses traditional Asian zithers, and melds ancient pieces and contemporary compositions, to take us on an astonishing journey in search of an artistic vocabulary common to China, Korea and Japan. Whatever their origins, the listening traveller is moved by the delicate, flowing virtuoso playing, smoothly moving from age-old tradition to sensitive modernity.
